A Dreamer Without A Dream

by Angel With The Dirty Wings   Sep 30, 2006

I packed all my stuff
And loaded it in the car
I thought this was what I wanted
But Now I'm not so sure

I lie alone at night
And miss your arms around me
I drift off to sleep
And am lost without a dream

I wake up in this bed
Next to nothing and no one
Emptiness is all I feel
And the heartbreak's already been done

I long to call you
Just to hear your sweet voice
I wonder if you have a clue
How lost I've been since I left you

See without you I'm just a dreamer
Who hasn't got a dream
Too much pride riding on the line
Made the words come out wrong

You are the perfect man
With perfect flaws and perfect plans
Am I the perfect women
To walk beside you hand in hand

You had the perfect family
But the perfect wife made you blue
And once upon a time
I had that very same thing too

I moved on and found the greatest gift of all
The perfect man who stands proud and walks tall
But what we had is withering and growing icy cold

See without you I'm just a dreamer
Who hasn't got a dream
And this is just another story
About a girl who can't move on
