Greed

by Cari   Oct 1, 2006

You were the one I thought I could trust,
All love, not lust.
Once I felt your body against mine,
Something inside us connected.
I wanted to be the only one who felt your touch,
I wanted to be the only one you longed for that much.
But I wasn't.
The thought of your body against someone else,
Broke my heart like nothing I've ever felt.
That single thought led me to believe,
You aren't in love with me.
I wanted you all to myself.
Your love for me didn't block out your lust,
With that you lost all trust.
Now I don't want your touch ever again,
I don't want you love or to be your friend.
Please let me go easy,
It's your fault I'm not greedy.
