Forbidden Attraction

by Windos   Oct 3, 2006

Slowly but surely,
I gouge out my mind's eye.
Looking at you this way,
Cannot be allowed.

You have a man,
A husband.
Yet all I can do,
Is imagine holding you.

So soft, your skin,
Like warm silk to the touch.
Yet to lay a finger upon it,
Would mean the loss of it's hand.

Your eyes glisten,
Radiating kindness.
I avoid looking into them,
For fear you will see how I feel.

You have a man,
A husband.
Yet all I can do,
Is imagine holding you.

I will love you forever,
From afar...
