The Day Summer Turned Cold

by rachael   Oct 4, 2006

Forget it
You left it
Alone to survive
with nothing
to live for
nothing but
the memories
of that faded summer day
when the air was damp
and the breeze was warm
You and me together
under the warmth of the summer sky
we were together
side by side
holding hands
wading in the water
but then it got cold
because you were gone
you had left
and there I was
standing alone
with the once warm sand
between my toes
and that day i will never forget
i'll always remember
the day that you left
the day when summer turned cold
