The Secret Garden

by Anton   Oct 8, 2006

Its a warm summers night
The horses are resting
Secured to a fallen tree in the bush line
The tent is up and the campfire is going

The two of us are lying on a blanket
Sitting by the edge of the lake
Along side the mountain and hills
Hearing all the creatures of the night

You notice in the moon line a rose bush
We venture over to look at them
They are the darkest red roses we ever seen
The rose bush is large enough to cover something

In behind the bush is a cave
You reach for a rose and the bush
Opens up like a door to revel its secrets
Not wasting any time we walk in

Inside the cave we find more roses
We travel through the cave to another
Opening but wait, its daylight here
Cant be as it was night when we went in

Spell bound by what we are seeing
Its another lake here but different
As we see drinking from it a unicorn
Beautiful white with gold horn and hooves

But then from no out of now where
Another rose bush appears beside the unicorn
The roses are as dark as the first ones we seen
But mixed in them with the roses is something

So we both move closer to the rose bush
The unicorn still standing watching us but
Not like its scared either then we see then
Four tiny red dragons playing around the roses

You reach out and pick a rose
As the unicorn comes over and lays down beside us
One dragon flies out and lands on your shoulder
With a single white rose in his mouth
