Lamentation

by AshLetitia   Oct 13, 2006

As shadows flicker on the walls
That belong to my sinful mind
I cannot help but wake and ponder
On what one could possibly find

As my broken heart shreds
It's lifeless beats, no more
I feel pathetically frozen
Tainted to my core

As unimpressive eyes scan
The future that awaits
My true being, true emotions
I can somehow demonstrate

My soul it silently repents
Hoping to depart in peace
Mourning should overtake
That dull ache, at least

And I bid thee farewell
Infected purity has sent
Me down that path of Hell
My life lost, eternal lament.
