The Darkness is Coming

by Daniel Rutter   Oct 13, 2006

I run my hand lightly across your face,
as you tears run down your cheek.
I'm trying, but theirs this empty space,
My mind, its just to weak.

I'm sorry my love, I must leave you here,
and drift off into the night,
I've tried to stay and wash away your fears,
But we end up in fight after fight.

While I fight back my feelings for you,
watching you cry for me,
but, my love, theres nothing I can do,
Cause I know the end is near.

The darkness is arising,
it appears with every breath
And theres no use denying,
That the darkness brings us death.

So shed a tear for me my love,
Was away your fear,
Know that I'll be with you up above,
But in your heart...so near.
