To me you are an angel from heaven up above,
Someone God has sent down to this earth for me to always love,
We've been through too much together to just let this be,
We wouldn't have lasted this long after everything if you weren't right for me.
I know that nothing I say can change how you feel,
And that your heart is still hurting and it needs time to heel,
But everyday that goes by my heart aches more and more,
It aches at the thought that you could just lock-down that door,
You tell me you love me and it will always be that way,
I also know you use the word love lightly with the things that you say,
So even though you might not believe me my love for you is real,
And everytime our eyes cross each other it's my heart that you steal,
No matter what you did I'd always come running back,
Because without you by my side it's everything that I lack,
I lack the feeling of love because that only exsisted with you,
I'll lack the feeling of been alive each day because you gave me that too,
There were times that you weren't well but I was there to hold you tight,
I always looked forward to your cuddles, on days stormy and oh so bright,
I'll never ever forget you and the past that we both shared,
I'll always have the memories and piece knowing that you cared.
