To My Protector

by Brooke Mason   Oct 17, 2006

You sit beside me every day
You never look at me
I always think of what to say
How to make you see

That kiss we shared that gloomy day
Was the best moment of my life
I try so hard not to feel the pain
of pushing you from sight

I try to bite my tongue
When you are around
Because blood in my mouth is better
then tears on the ground

I try so hard to not be sad
To not say my love is true
But every time, I feel glad
For loving you like I do

So as this poem begins its end
And I bid you sweet adue
Remember that I'll lay in bed
And whisper "I love you"
