Sitting Alone

by Nicole Maree   Oct 17, 2006

Sitting alone
The world is cold
She dreams of death
And is only eighteen years old

With no one to hold her
When she's feeling blue
She feels so unloved
And longs to hear "I love you"

"Why am I here
Alive on Earth?
No one loves me
For I have no worth"

Sitting Alone
She begins to cry
If only he loved her
She wouldn't want to die

She feels something warm
Upon her cold shoulder
It's a boy's hand reaching out
Silently, he holds her

She stops crying
And looks into his eyes
His kindness has saved her
She no longer wants to die

Sitting alone
In each other's arms
Nothing can bother them
The surrounding is calm

He turns to her and says
"I have always loved you
And I never realised
That out love was so true"

It was then she knew
Why she put up with life
It was because she loved him
And would become his wife

Sitting alone
In their perfect world
She made a promise to him
The forever she would be his girl
