A U.S Marine

by Lizzy Romero   Oct 19, 2006

His oath will never let him surrender
He will give his life, for his cause, please remember
He has dreamnt of the day he would turn eighteen
That is the day, he will become a Marine
A dream held strong his entire life,
He will get there, through hell, no matter the sacrifice
He will always come running if you call out his name
Even if you know him only by Marine,
You don't even know his name.
It doesn't even matter, as though it may seem
Because to be called a Marine,
Is his life long dream
He will help no matter what it is you ask
He will do his best, no matter how great the task
He will fight for you, if thats what you need
He will die for you, for that is his life's creed
He will leave everything just to protect you
He is one of the selected proud and true
Since the very day he was born
His dream was to be in a USMC uniform
So proud his family and loved ones are,
Of our Marine, our northern star
He doesn't fight for money or fame
Battle is his legacy, a Marine is his name
USMC is a title proudly worn
His loyalty, pride, and allegiance is solemnly sworn
