Why Mommy Cries

by Realize   Oct 20, 2006

Words to say to an eight year olds eyes
He questions constantly why mommy cries
Fragile heart shattered when told all lies
Anger in his little body grows in size
He just wants to know why mommy cries

He asked his mommy, and she stared in surprise
He really wants to know why mommy cries
In simple truth her tears fall until sunrise
But the boy is kept in the dark, the accusations she denies
Why cant he know why his mommy cries?

Hate in his throat begins to rise
He just doesnt understand why his mommy cries
The entire world his little eyes despise
He beats his pet spot until the dog dies
Can anyone please tell him why his mommy cries?

He picked up a shiny pistol, he knew it wasnt wise
He just has to know why his mommy cries
The bullet shot out to darken his demise
No one could even say their good-byes
He just wanted to know why his mommy cries

Whose gun was it? Just some guys
The boy never got to know why his mommy cries
Why did she have to keep her sadness in disguise?
In his red blood a tragic message dries
Maybe I was the reason why my mommy cries
