Untitled

by Tate LaBianca   Oct 24, 2006

My Muse,
who dreams of darkness
and bears the weight
of a broken world.
How could I expect you
to shoulder my pain as well?
Every tear I shed
tears into your perfect flesh.
Your dreams,
so rife with darkness
reflect my waking world-
something I
can no longer hide from you.
I would take this pain from you
and sacrifice this wretched soul,
too lost in the darkness
to ever be saved.
But I cannot,
no matter how much
this infernal weakness pains me.
And to the sins of the world,
I add my own,
woth every selfish word I speak.

I love you
