    Well, that was very good.
You've got a talent, and strong words to be written. And written well, I might add.
Keep up the good work, I enjoyed this.

I like the twist on this.It harkens to the song but yet offers a different view.It contains both the social and religious ramifications yet shows our faults as human beings in grasping the divine. It displays the despair of reaching for something greater, something spiritual.Yet you end it with such a great stanza of hope and salvation. This is phenomenal, Layla, very well expressed and written, full of emotion and meaning. This is very deep.I am quite impressed at your skill and talent and emotion.

Had to add a bit more. This is a very deep subject-religion, good and evil, hope and hopelessness. You have expressed this so eloquently, you truly write with a maturity and understanding of your years.I see great things in your future. This is so profound and philosophical and has such a deeper meaning and intelligence. It means more every time I read it.I am very impressed with this, as I am with all your work, but this truly stands out.You are one of the best poets on this site in my eyes.
