Winter lies

by Unrequited   Oct 26, 2006

Fire drenched in sorrow, the screaming wearing thin.
cuts are mended, hearts split open.
and i bleed until i'm blind.
scarecrows mourn the souls,
their flesh and bones ripped apart.
dissected and deserted, a prayer never heard.
i watch ice melt fire.
scars stretch across blue eyes, disrupted by winter lies.
we burn into the earth.

hearts can't die
hearts can't die
hearts can't die
hearts can't die

but you don't know what your knife did to me.
the voices fade. the vicious blade. i slip into my grave.
the cold metal burns through my chest.
your love turned to goodbyes.
i won't forget the pain i felt,
scarred by your winter lies.

my eyes bleed
as you scream.
my eyes bleed
as you scream.
my eyes bleed
as you scream.

my fire dies, now drenched in sorrow.
my screams have flown away.
cuts were mended, our love split open.
i bled 'til i went blind.
i drown in sorrow.
there is no tomorrow,
cut by your winter lies.

my heart died.
my heart died.
my heart died.
