you've been one before.
i lost you once,
but you're back for more.

my friends warned me,
that you would come back.
i told them i wouldn't let you.
they didn't believe me.
i told them i wouldn't let you hurt me again.

you came back into my life.
my friends don't know.
so I'm keeping you a secret.
for at least awhile.
until i know,
you're worth the while.

once my friends find out,
they'll say i told you so.
but it doesn't matter.
