My Three Wishes

I loved our very first date
It was to a school dance
After a push and a shove I got my second wish,
A slow dance
When the fast dance came
I went and got some punch
I felt like an idiot and blushed
Soon the dance was over
He gave me a hug and a smile
Lucky me all three wishes came true
I'm the luckiest girl in the world and I believe every second was worthwhile
