A butterfly and a bumblebee
Were on the same flower
I happened to see
They touching each other
As they both gathered nectar
But one did not sting
Nor the other one flee
The butterfly to an other flower came
The bumblebee followed
And choose the same
They gathered more nectar
Still the bee didn't sting
Its fuzzy body touching
The butterfly's wing
Then they went their separate ways
I stood there watching
Feeling amazed
Did they notice each other
Or feel any fear
What did they see
And what did they hear
These wonders of nature
Are a mystery
The butterfly and the bumblebee
If they can share a flower
Then so can we
We can live in peace
Even when we disagree
