Lie to Me....

You ask what you can do
to take away my pain,
But all I want you to do,
Is lie to me again,

I want you to lie to me,
And tell me that you really do care,
Lie to me,
and tell me you'll always be there,

I want you to lie to me,
and tell me no other can compare,
Lie to me,
and tell me our lives we will share,

I want you to lie to me,
and tell me there's nobody else,
Lie to me,
and promise it's in sickness and in health,

I want you to lie to me,
and make me believe that it's all true,
Lie to me,
'Cos I can't cope with losing you.

*I was thinking today about whther lies are ever good lies, and if it's better to lie. I concluded that the truth is always best but I still decided to write a poem from another perspective. I just really liked the idea of someone so afraid to lose someone that she'd ratehr be lied to cos it was easier than admitting things were falling apart.*
