A tribute to a friend

Something with my life went right
Everything used to give me fright
Until a friend came to give me sight
and helped me face the world with might

I was never available for comfort
And I'm bad luck in the form of all sort
Then one friend flamed my life like a tort
And made me realize what I was worth

How could there be a person
Who keeps on being nice for no reason
And suddenly take me out of prison
On an extremely suffocating season

Since when does a devil like me
Gets an angel as a friend to be
And be w/o warning astonishingly free
To experience facing the world with glee

I have never been good at any instance
And to others have always been a nuisance
Until that angel came to help me w/ my chance
To live a better life; a life enhanced!
