All's Fair in Love and War

by Amanda Holloway   Mar 19, 2004

The angry beating of my heart will not subside
And with my whole being I must abide

I would never expect this from one I loved so dear
From one I let my heat become so near

This tender betrayal, I shall never forget
Though how much it hurts me, I will not admit

You cut me so deep, and these wounds will not heal
But I would rather die than let you see my tears

So now I'm here plotting, finding a way
To make you hurt like I do one day

I'll get back at you, have no doubts
‘Cuz war is what love is all about

It pains me to pain one I used to adore
But all's fair in love and war
