No End for Me

by Darkchild   Nov 5, 2006

A swirling mist of darkness in my thoughts,
Comes as the sun dies and falls from sky,
Lit be jags of flashing death from the world,
lost to time in sorrow and forgotten in the winds of sleep,
Finally the last teasing of life from the limbs,
With a death that struggles of this blackened soul,
Losing it last attempt to find a place in the out,
Trying to escape the body to a true death in its life,
Before the sun rises to renew all who have slept,
Pulled to fast from the life beyond his cold grasp,
Waking with the night resounding with a death bells toll,
Stopped to the bone of all the warmth of life,
Remaining but a tortured animal of my former self,
Left to an existence of pain that never ends,
Never knowing a time of eternal rest and peace,
Forgetting the warmth of love in my arms at night,
The sad music of night and death my only companion,
Until that day when his cold fingers rest upon my shoulder.
