Through anything

There is an absence in time
while the river flows freely,
between the shadows of
two lovers hearts separated,
there is a silent cry within
as they are desperate to unite,
with a lie to their minds they
vanquish the distance of water,
they close their eyes yet
open their minds to imagine,
their desperate charade to
endless happiness together,
once separate minds combine
and their love proliferates,
an oriole expresses their
love to the world unknowing,
and now together they will
be forever one...
