The Beauty is Lost

by Mary   Nov 9, 2006

Lying here.
Inviting
This choking feeling.
Allowing it to consume.

Crying.
Tears run out.
Clutching my pillow tight.

Turning thoughts.
Reoccuring thoughts.
Return me to that night.

You
Telling me its over.
Speaking in an unreconizable voice.
With a pocketful of unexplained reasons.

Wishing.
Please leave me thoughts.
Hoping for ten minutes of silence
Within my head.

But you continue.
Zooming through my brain.
Pulsing through my veins.
Provoking all this pain.

Wishing.
Imagining ten minutes of you.
Holding me tight.
Saying it was wrong.
Leaving me that night.

Lying here.
Letting time continue
Passing by.
Making it worse.

Clinging to what's over.
Bathing in my guilt.
Regretting.
Forgetting.

The Beauty is lost.
The Beauty is lost.
