The Beach (monichelle)

by goddess-glamourpuss   Nov 9, 2006

Ocean waves lap the shore
Sun raises a sleepy head
Gentle rays warm the sand
Awaken sleepy crabs
Spreads day throughout the land

Ocean waves lap the shore
Tentative toes paddle
Sandcastles built and lost
Rock pools yield strange treasures
Memories at no cost

Ocean waves lap the shore
Breeze blows away the stragglers
Footprints litter the ground
Sun bids a fond adieu
Slips from view without sound

Ocean waves lap the shore
Moonlight sparkles on shells
Seagulls drift with ebb and flow
Crabs snuggle in sand deep
Pace is fast sometimes slow

That was an amazing poem! everything u said is exactly what people think about when they think of the beach. i liked this style where u repeated the first line in all stanzas and then the lines after it were about when that happens. very hard to do but u pulled it off amazingly.
