We were friends,
I liked you,
You seemed to like me.

We were full of laughs, inside jokes, smiles, & more.

I always thought that we could make something of it,
If only we could tell each other.

I miss you now.
I see you in the hallway,
& I look your way.
But you keep on walking,
On the other side of me.

Other times I see you,
Looking straight at me,
But when I turn to look,
You've lost sight of me.

I miss us being friends,
I miss us laughing and smiling together.

But most of all,
I wonder why we both act like we've never met.
