Life is the real war

The drummers r drummin'
the day is comin'
if u know someone say a prayer
'cause there goin' over there
the little boys and girls are leaving home there favorite toys
to bard boats and planes to go over there
mothers cryin' fathers sighin'
they take lives and leave wives
there familys cryin' tired of the diein'
they ask why O lord why?
soldiers watching people die and limbs fly
they take human lives
yet they pay the ultimate price
they fight for freedom, peace, and liberty
they leave they little one to fend there own
yet they give what they can to them and leave to let the little one fight there own war
the one of hunger and thirst and pain no one to love or them to be loved as they live off the sandy streets
as we shout why O lord why
heros and warriors come home stunned and changed at what they\'ve seen
what they have done
for when they come home... if they come home they are no longer the little boys and girls that believed in cooties they believe in DEATH
they are young man and young woman that have given everything for there country yet they dont get a simple thank you
those toys they left are there only way back to the past
to forget the terrors they've seen
some say war is our life ... YET LIFE IS OUR TRUE WAR
