A Deadly Bite

by Cortney Adame   Nov 11, 2006

Watch where you step
There's a snake in the grass.
See the sun glint off her back
Deceiving you with her beauty.
Hear her hissing softly- a whisper
Her forked tongue spreading lies.
Don't be fooled by her eyes
Filled with malice- not innocence.
Don't be seduced by her touch
Soft- but cold and unloving.
Don't fall prey to her beauty and charm
She is more dangerous than you know.
Don't let her pull you into her trap
Another victim of her deadly venom.
Watch where you step
There's a snake in the grass.

This poem is a warning to my friend Alex (whom I love) to beware of the girl he likes- Samm. She is playing with him, and everyone knows it.
