Watching puddles gathering*

by ** plum snow **   Nov 13, 2006

Watching puddles gather the rain
As I watch myself try to refrain.
Its pouring tonight,
As all happiness washes out of sight.

Tiny raindrops blur my eyes,
As the sky cries.

I drop you home,
& carry you to the white door.
I set you down on the warm floor,
So your feet dont get wet.

Meant nothing to you,
But I will never forget.

I pick you up like a little rag doll,
Wrap you round my waist,
And hold you tight, so you wont fall.

I kiss your cheek,
& turn back to the rain,
Running through it without you just isnt the same;
Little drops that did glitter, now turn to patter, pitter.

I get back in the car,
Put my feelings back in the jar.

I pull off as the rain begins to subside,
The ground has dried
But I will never recover,
From all the tears ive cried.
