One breath

by DarkJem   Nov 17, 2006

Dark room starts to light
everything turns so bright
dragons flame hot and wisp
everything turns to a crisp.
scales harder than stone
people start to groan
lying in a room of heat
death hanging like a sheet.
roars fill the room
one brave person holds a broom
one breath
easy painful death.
wondering what comes next
breathing legend from old text
dragons head comes close
someone takes an overdose
death painful and quick
lots of people feel sick.
flesh coming away from bone
everyone just wants to go home
how did this nightmare start?
why did the family part?
as the dragon lifts it wings
the fat lady sings
now they know it's the finish
as all they're screams diminish.
