Truly Lost

by CritiX   Nov 19, 2006

Of course there are moments
Even I cannot deny
That every feeling is too much
And Id just rather die

All alone on a distant field
The wind playing with your shirt
As the sun is starting to go down
And everything turns into a blur

The moments darkness pulls
And thoughts overrun my mind
When Im desperately looking
But theres nothing left to find

But what are we then
If we give up that fast
Nothing more than whispers?
Fading into the past?

Its always easier to give up
And let everything go with the rain
But when you loose it now
Its those feelings you can never regain

And then its really true what they say
Its better to have loved and lost
Then to never loved at all
Treasure the moments.. whatever the cost

A very beautifuly written poem; and so sad. The flow was consistent, and your choice of words were brilliant. 5/5
