To: Hopeless Romantic

by Jay Sei   Mar 22, 2004

A rainy twilight finds the two.
An umbrella blocks depression.
The shield buries to the ground.
To dry, the sidewalks had burned.
They talk the night away inside,
as they wait for the rain to subside.
As the mood sets before words,
depression had come to the worse.

The night has been serenaded a fairy tale.
A twilight for a hopeless romantic.

Hands have grasped; a race to the car.
They drive the night to see,
to find that perfect place,
to watch the sun fall asleep.
He looks deep into her eyes,
as a rainbow found the skies.
Paradise is found from a kiss.
Completed night of perfect bliss.

The night has been serenaded a fairy tale.
A twilight for a hopeless romantic.

This is the night she's waiting for.
This is the moment that she breathes for.
This is the night she's been longing for.
This is the moment that she lives for.
