My Days

by M   Nov 21, 2006

I am laying, sleeping, dreaming,
I dream of the days that have passed,
I dream I am with you holding you tight,
I could lie there forever dreaming of you...
But the alarm goes off ending the peacefull night.

I see the light shine in,
I get out of bed and look outside,
The sun rising, birds Chirping,
I pick out my outfit,
Putting them on seeing if they fit.

I call you,
Hearing your voice puts a smile on my face,
In an instant it is time to say goodbye,
I hang up.

I hear the car horn blasting,
I scurry downstairs and grab my bag,
Running out the door out to the car,
I get in, the music roaring,
We head to school.

We park the car,
Just getting the last space,
It's cold outside,
I start the long haul to school.

I get out my phone,
Calling you again,
You answer...
Still laying in bed in your warm blankets,
I am walking in the cold wind,
Finally I get to school,
Frozen to death I say goodbye yet again.

I get into school,
Going to my locker I text you,
Already missing your voice,
Sitting around all my friends talking,
I can not stop thinking of you.

**Ring**

The bell rings time to go to class.

**Ring**

The bell rings again,
Class has begun,
The teacher starts to talk,
I am sitting there thinking of you.

Oops,
On my desk plops a test,
I start the test,
It takes me 10 minutes to concentrate,
I can not stop thinking of you.

Finally, the test is over,
I leave the class only to go to my next class,
As I text you,
I am spotted,
So what I finish my text.

Class by class I sit there,
Waiting for the text back,
Lunch rolls around,
I eat my lunch and give you a call,
To hear your voice,
Felt like forever.

My next classes come and go,
Not knowing what is going on,
Two fifteen comes around,
The day felt like forever.

We walk to the car,
Only to do our daily routine,
I am dropped off,
Sitting at home all alone,
I wish you were here with me,
Four o'clock comes and goes.

My phone rings,
I answer not looking at who it is,
It is you,
You say come outside,
I walk outside,
Your sitting in your car listening to music,
Seeing your face puts a smile on my face.

We talk, we hang, we have fun,
Being with you is all that matters,
Loving every moment of it,
Eleven Fifteen already,
It seemed so short.

We say goodbye until next time,
You are going to be late,
You jump in your car,
You drive away leaving me standing there.

Gone for an instant,
Already I am missing you,
Wishing we were together.

I go upstairs,
Sitting in my room,
Just waiting for your call.

The phone finally rings,
I answer,
You are home safe,
We start to talk about our days,
I just love to talk to you,
Listening to everything you have to say,
Being able to tell you anything.

It is three a.m. and still talking,
You are getting tired,
I ask if you want to go to sleep,
You refuse,
You say you would rather talk to me then sleep,
So We continue to talk.

Within moments you fall asleep,
I lay there to see if you awake,
You never do,
I say goodbye and let you sleep,
I soon fall asleep.

I am laying, sleeping, dreaming,
I dream of the days that have passed,
I dream I am with you holding you tight,
I could lie there forever dreaming of you...
But the alarm goes off ending the peacefull night.
