Facing reality

by Stephanie and Laura   Nov 25, 2006

It always seems to happen,
when you think you found the one
they find a way to deceive you
and then you’re the one they shun

happiness is fragile
and you let them in to your heart
thinking it will last forever
but soon after it all falls apart

I love you once meant something
That so called feeling you hold true
But when he starts to lie
Those words mean nothing to you

Even he thought it would last
And eleven months went by
And though you try and save it
Eventually you see no reason to try

To face the reality of END
A fate all must endure
The pain and reckless feelings
You no longer feel secure

Letting go, it happens
And time will only mend
And so the saying goes
He’ll end up just a friend
