Perfect isn\'t good enough

by Tine   Nov 28, 2006

Your eyes - twinkling unbearable -
told me all you didn\'t say
lying so deep, so humble
they shined so severe and grey

you kissed me on the cheek
you told me goodbye
it felt like a farewell, you said
nothing you were so shy

they\'r enot for now, they are forever
those farewells of you
but now\'s the only moment we have
a now without you\'d be so untrue

Perfect isn\'t good enough
and perfect I\"m deifinitely not
you\'re so bright and beautiful
all these things I\'m everything but

So sweetly severe you glance at life
everything just comes your way
I\'d just be a stain on your success
excuse me now, I cannot stay

I cannot show my mediocrity
in front of all those people
who know you and your intelligence
not matter how much I will

try to show I can be better
I\'ll never be good enough
to be the right person for you
that\'s just the truth, and tough

Perfect isn\'t good enough
we\'ll never be ideal, see
\'cause I\'m not good enough
you\'re way to honest and perfect for me..
