Did You Find What You Were Looking For?

by Ian Robert   Nov 29, 2006

And I found a fragment of your heart here,
Falling from the heavens as I saw your tear,
I know my prayers wont be answered by this mirror,
But its jagged edges can make my dreams come near.

Through eyes made of glass,
And a truth only found in the past,
I need to write this last letter fast,
Listening to the sound of solitude break into trance.

Footsteps down the hallway call,
I broke the meaning and used them to crawl,
Back to the beginning before we died,
And took away all of the tears that youve cried.

Im faced with the answer,
You left with the question of,
Just who are you to judge the faces above,
No more hoping thats its really love.

Because with one last kiss,
The dove flew over like a lovers final hit,
Hope youll find what you wished and all of the bliss,
Maybe you will find exactly what you missed.
