Bed of Springtime

by XXTruthSeekerXX   Nov 30, 2006

Breathe
I hear the wind
Coil around
My Cotton tree.
So common,
But you are mine

Though rough
are your skin
You still nestle me
In between blankets
Made of life
Your soul

The rain has
Sprinkled with faint
Aromas of fresh spring
Softening the world
In a single hush
Alone

Sleep you say
For the day grows old
Let the sun warm you
And let me, your tree
Be the bed of springtime
For innocent dreams

Nice poem. No rhyme but somehow there is a rhythm in it. I like that the end ends with the begin (tree.) Lovely sentences, keep up the good work. 5/5
