All was lost

by Carl Owens   Dec 2, 2006

As all is lost in the wreck
as things wash up on shore
the picture of an unknown girl
opens my eyes
but close my heart
Although my I never found her
my heart weeps that she’s gone
not so much to lust
but merely to sorrow
alone I stand
crying for her
the picture catches my tears
for no one else is there
