I dreamt...

One night I dreamt that you were mine,
that I could hold you once again,
I dreamt that nothing had been changed
and we were together again.
But then I awoke, dreamland shattered,
a gasp slipped between my lips,
I realised that you dont feel the same
and I turned my head and cried.

I've fallen in love with the man that you are,
my feelings cant be changed.
I sit here on the sidelines,
as you go for another,
"friends" you said, that all we'll ever be,
but i sit here and hope,
that you'll fall in love with me.

I dream of your sweet kisses,
night after night after night,
I cant help but remember the sight,
of your oh so cocky grin.
We spent so much time together,
theres nothing i can forget,
especially the hurt that you've cause me,
by saying the things that you did.

I will wait as long as I have to,
for you to come around,
so we can be together,
just like I dreamt we would.
