Unbreakable Bond

by Lyne Ismail   Dec 6, 2006

I've asked myself many times before,
How do you define a "mother"?
She who picked you up when you were down,
Sharing unconditional love toward another?

That took your hand when you were young,
Kept her heart near to yours,
Led you through the obstacles of life,
And guided you through those open doors.

What could I have done without you, Mother?
To you, no one can compare;
An everlasting bond has formed between us,
A bond which no one can tear.

As life follows its own single path,
Some may get lost along the way;
As long as I know you'll be there for me, Mother,
Your love will prevent me from going astray.

My love for you is unquestionable,
A deeper love which can't always be seen;
If you're ever in doubt, just look to your heart,
And you'll always find me in between.

I love you, Mother...Happy Birthday
