That One Night

by rebecca   Dec 6, 2006

That one night i got out of the car
that one night i walked out afar
that one night he gave me his jacket
that one night he was my magic
that one night he looked at me with those eyes
that one night he stole my heart with those eyes
those eyes
those eyes i will remember forever
those eyes will haunt me so never
can i forget those eyes
that one night i knew i would never be the same
for that one night, just that one night was all to blame
as we sat on the beach watching the cold black water
I could feel my heart but a small pitter patter
I could feel the warmth of the fire
But the fire is not all that made me warm
but his heart put out a heat
that i could not keep
so now i sit
cold and alone
for he left me no longer to be warm
so now my heart but a small pitter patter
lays on the beach in the dark black water
i search for my heart never to be found
for i cannot breath for there is no sound
those eyes will remember
fore those eyes will haunt me forever
my heart is no longer a pitter patter but slows to a quiet wrinkle in the water
but that one night it was my magic
that one night he gave me
his jacket
