I will let them know this
that they are more beautiful
than any flower that ever bloomed
it doesn't matter that they are a patch
that is soon to be parted
they are a garden being plucked
and soon will dwindle down to none
with me and others, we have gone
now the winter mornings come
though the garden is now strong and
will be completed once again
i will let them know this
i will remember them to the end
