these are the words he said to me when me and my boyfriend had a fight

i took his words more deep than he knows
he means more than a friend to me and sometimes i think it shows

if only you knew the memories we've shared
holding my hand through the haunted barn and protecting me when I'm scared

cracking jokes and jumping on the trampoline
being with you is the most fun Ive ever seen

but i know it'll all be over sooner than we think
but it almost happened we were on the brink

one day at the barn you held me close
i felt like i could float
almost like a ghost

but she came along and ruined it all
it was like all of a sudden you weren't ready to catch me when i was ready to fall

i guess being best friends is better than not
but it hurts to hear you say you think shes perfect amazing and hot

i used to think these things about you
but then it all cam crashing down and my life turned so blue

sometimes the only way to get over things is realizing maybe you guys aren't meant to be
but then you have all these memories that keep reacquiring

and they change your mind about everything
and theres no way to make this feeling go away
