Wish I knew

by Jim Shipman   Dec 10, 2006

My body had no clue,
To what it wanted to do.
When I first met you.
My head was screaming,
Will you be my queen.
My soul could only sing,
A sweet song of the honey bee.
My eyes are on fire,
Burning with love and desire.
My heart has fallen,
Did I hear someone calling.
Say something sweet,
And not act like a geek.
I wanted to run and hide,
With my singing soul deep inside.
To set back and watch you smile.
At least for a little while.
Loosing my train of thought,
A rose for you,
I should of bought.
You are a special one,
My search may not be done.
But I'd like to be your friend,
I don't want this day to end.
Wish I knew what to do,
The next time I see you.
