Santa, I love you

by Pianist   Dec 11, 2006

Santa, I love you.
You know that I do.
But this is the year
I'll stop believing in you.

Last year, dear santa,
I was such a good boy,
and you did not bring me
a single new toy.

Instead you brought hate
to my dear mom and dad.
My sister was raped.
Was I really that bad?

My brother did something,
and everyone cried.
They said I was too young
to know about his suicide.

Mom and dad are yelling,
and sister cries alone.
I sit here by the christmas tree
as my stomach aches and groans.

Next year I won't try this hard
to be so very good,
Because you'll just forget me,
Like I always knew you would.

Santa, I love you.
You know that I do,
But this is the year
I've stopped believing in you.

Ohh God. That was awesome. I loved the way you changed the last line a little, it closes the poem. The flow might have not been perfect, but that's totally dismissed due to the fact that it's so touching.
