Three Words

by Secret Obsession   Dec 12, 2006

Your hands are drenched in blood
that's your own

I tried to warn you
but you preferred to be alone

I grabbed for your hand
but you decided to pull away from me

I tried to love you
but you never let that be

I cried as you got out your razor
and told me coldly to leave

You lifted it to your wrist
and I screamed out what I believe

it took three words and the razor
fell onto the floor

Three Words..and you said you
wouldn't hurt yourself anymore

I kissed your unharmed wrists
as tears fall from your eyes

My three words stopped you
from all your suicidal tries

You threw away that razor and
raised me up into your arms

I cried along with you, lost in the
moment without harms

You reached for my hand and asked if what I said was true

I sobbed and silently nodded
as I leaned up near to you

You kissed my lips slowly and
begged me to say those words again

Three Words, "I Love You"
and I always will until the very end

Omg...that poem is so sweet. I wish I could write such a poem to my gf.. except, its the other way around.. I'm the one that cuts and she almost cries when I do it, too, but I don't know how to stop. ya know?

I really liked that the cutting didn't happen. That was a nice twist. I don't like cutting poems so the fact that it didn't happen is great! lol And I really like the power it gives love.
    Nice job!
