T's Love That Comforts

by Colby   Mar 26, 2004

T's love that comforts
In the still of the night
My body exhausted…yet
With closed eyes sleep evades me

My heart aches to be near you
To hold you secure within my love
To be gently held inside your aura
To kiss, ah yes to kiss…

Memories abound in the darkness of my head
Visions of your stunning beauty
The faint scent of your perfume
Yet I am unable to reach out for you

The musicians of my soul play softly
Melodies from days past
Words reminiscent of time spent…and loved
Rhythm of our hearts pounding within

Oh how t'would be to mate souls
Souls connected from beginning
Linked by the unknown
Bound by…God himself?

Minutes pass like hours
Waiting for morning to enter
In the still of the night
T's love that comforts
