The Boy On The Bus

by Emm   Dec 18, 2006

My heart has been ripped open,
There is nothing I can do,
Your face has cast upon my walls,
A shadow black and blue.
I try to hide my face each day,
I cannot help but stare,
You look so nice and innocent,
As you're sitting over there.
I hear people talk about you,
They say you are so nice,
I try my best to talk to you,
I've tried and failed now twice.
Your dark days have left you broken,
I can see it in your face,
But when you turn and gaze my way,
My heart begins to race.
I long to know what you\'re about,
Why your face looks sad,
I wish that I could end your pain,
And know what gets you mad.
Your mystery will overcome,
Every flaw that you have shown,
I wish that I could be the one,
That in your heart I'm known.
I know some things about you,
Some things I shouldn't know,
The more I know about your past,
The more my love will grow.
The thing that makes me sad is,
There is no "we" or "us",
There's just plain old me and you,
Just a girl that has a shattered heart,
And a boy that rides the bus.
