Boom

by Bryan Raff   Dec 18, 2006

Boom, boom
Flash, flash,
Another stormy night begins to clash

The thunder roars, with a mighty vigor
As the intruding storms begin to linger
I point to the sky with one single finger (guess which)

Today, not today, today is not the day
For the storms to be rollin' in, no way on this day
But it is too late, as the drops begin to rain onto my window pane

Tired with rest, and in need of sleep
I slowly return to bed with the boards a creepin'
I know for sure the town will be a weepin'

The day concludes, it's over at last
That horrid storm is a thing of the past

I liked it. I thought it was a very creative way to write a poem in this sense. 5/5
