From Daughter to Mother

by Sophia   Dec 20, 2006

We fight and argue,
We yell and scream,
We say a lot of things,
That we really don't mean,
That doesn't mean I don't love you,
It's what teenagers do.

You do some much for me,
And yet I thank you so rarely,
But I appreciate everything you do,
And I know you know that,
But sometimes it has to be said aloud,
Mom, you make me proud.

I love you so much,
And I say it everyday,
I know you love me too,
So much in every way
It's hard to express the love
Between a mother and her daughter.

I'm thankful for everything I have,
I don't show it sometimes though,
And it's a shame on me,
Life could be a whole lot worse,
There are so many things that wouldn't be,
I'm grateful we're not in that situation.

I say my life sucks,
Because I thought people
Had it better then me but the truth is
I have it better then them,
Because you're always there when I need you,
You're always there for me to turn to.

I hope you love this poem,
I made it special just for you,
I love all the time we spend together,
It's so much fun,
I love you mom for forever,
No matter what.
